The City of Barnesville is pleased to announce $50,000 in funding for Phase III of the Façade Grant Program. This program encourages façade improvements for buildings within the Downtown Historic Commercial District. The grant is a 50% match up to $2,000 per storefront.
Created in 2001, the Façade Grant Program has spurred more than $180,000 in investment with renovation of 28 storefronts in Barnesville’s Downtown Historic District.
A Façade Grant Kickoff Meeting will be held Thursday, May 5 at 5:30 p.m. at the Womens Clubhouse at 176 Stafford Avenue. City representatives and Historic Preservation Committee members will be on hand to discuss the program and answer questions.
